There’s a luxury 35-foot high treehouse on London’s South Bank and you can spend the night there

No, you weren’t still half asleep as you made your way to work this morning. There is indeed a luxury 35 foot treehouse sitting on the South Bank.
And, if you’ve ever dreamt of nodding off in your very own twinkling treehouse by the Thames (who hasn’t?), you’re in luck.
Not only is the treehouse available for people to visit between 10am and 6pm all this week (January 25 – 29), but you can win a chance to spend the night there (with one lucky guest) on either Wednesday January 27, or Thursday January 28, courtesy of Virgin Holidays.
Magical (well, if you can ignore the late-night revellers making their way back home).
As well as a cosy double bed, you get your very own private terrace looking out over St Paul’s and the London skyline.
You’ll also enjoy a taste of South Africa during your overnight stay, in the form of a six-course degustation meal (including deep-fried meal worms, crocodile and ostrich biltong) by celeb chef Petrus Madutela (don’t worry, this is central London, there’s always a Pizza Express nearby, y’know, just in case).
The treehouse created by Hubert Zandberg, celebrates contemporary South African design, and was inspired by Virgin Holidays’ South African experience which includes a stay at the Lion Sands Game Reserve treehouse.
