Posterscope’s Comedy Central campaign recognised at Adweek Experiential Awards
Earlier this month Adweek (USA) announced the winners of its second annual Adweek Experiential Awards. These awards celebrate the creativity, originality and entrepreneurialism coming out of this rapidly growing sector of the brand marketing ecosystem.

“We are thrilled to announce that Comedy Central and Posterscope have won two AdWeek Experiential Awards for the Awkwafina 7 Train Takeover campaign!
For the first the time ever, a celebrity voice surprised and delighted commuters on subway cars throughout New York. From January 16 – January 22, Comedy Central’s own Awkwafina took over the MTA’s 7-train announcements to promote her new show, “Awkwafina is Nora from Queens”.
The announcements included whimsical statements such as, “This is Junction Boulevard, a friendly reminder that seats are for people, not your bags”, “This is, Mets-Willets Point, Home of the New York Mets! I love the METS because I’m from Queens and you’re riding the 7 train”, and many more. In these seven short days, the execution generated great PR on social channels and press, with mentions on GMA, ABC, CNN, Variety and Adweek, to name a few. The announcements even scored some celebrity attention, with Kerry Washington and Emmy Rossum tweeting about it. All adding millions of more impressions to the already existing earned media numbers”.
